8 Swivel Rocker 2.5''x5'' Fiberglass Spring Plates for Repair/Replacement

When a swivel rocker rocks too far and risks tipping over backward it needs new fiberglass rocker spring plates. Plates wear with normal use and eventually need replacement; this is common. These fiberglass rocker spring plates measure 2 and 1/2" wide by 5" long by 1/4" thick and can be spray painted. These fiberglass rocker spring plates do not have holes drilled. You will need to use your old fiberglass rocker spring plate as a template to measure and drill holes to fit your furniture. Use the old plate as a pattern for drilling holes in the new plate. Before replacing the rocker closely examine the assembly of your existing fiberglass rocker spring plate and the reinforcing metal strap with nuts and bolts. The thickness of the plates can be doubled but the rocking action will be more stiff. It is suggested that you use a drill press to make sure the holes are straight. Re-assemble the parts the same way that you took them apart. There should be a metal plate or washer between the bolt head and the fiberglass rocker spring plate. The head of the bolt and the nut should never be installed directly against the rocker fiberglass rocker spring plate. (Bolts nuts and reinforcing metal straps not included; re-use those from your existing swivel rocker).
